EXHAUSTO was founded in 1957 in the town of Sorø on the Danish island of Zealand. The background was the unique idea to build a chimney fan for installation on the top of a chimney to obtain the ideal draught in open fireplaces, wood-burning stoves and boilers.
 

In 1963 the company moved to the town of Langeskov on the island of Funen. At the same time the product range was extended with roof fans. This became the start of an extensive development in the ventilation market.
 

In 2007, 50 years after the company was founded, the company was seperated in two individual units: EXHAUSTO A/S and EXHAUSTO CDT A/S. Both sister companies are owned by the parent company EXHAUSTO International A/S and have sales companies and distributors in a number of countries. We have taken this initiative with a view to increasing our level of service and development in both business fields.
 

EXHAUSTO A/S develops, manufactures, markets, and delivers ventilation units with heat recovery, roof fans, wall fans and box fans, control devices, cooker hoods, and a variety of other ventilation components for complete ventilation systems for the professional ventilation market.
 

EXHAUSTO CDT A/S develops, markets, and delivers chimney fans, control devices, and other components for controlled chimney draft for all types of firing units. (CDT stands for Chimney Draft Technology).
