URH - Extraction diffuser

General

The URH diffuser is primarily used for extraction. The URH diffuser can, in special circumstances, be used as a  wall-mounted supply air diffuser (however with relatively long throw).

The diffuser has a low sound pressure level, even when there is a relatively large pressure drop.

The URH diffuser is made of steel sheet with epoxy coating in white (RAL 9010) and fits directly inside the spiro tube with a bayonet mount (supplied as standard). The fixing frame is made of galvanised steel.

Capacity and sound

URH

Capacity
Airflow qv (m3/h), total pressure drop pt (Pa), and sound level LpA (dB(A)) can be read off from the diagrams.

Pressure drop Δpt
The diagrams give the pressure drop pt (Pa) as the total pressure drop.

Sound level LpA
The diagrams give the sound level LpA (dB(A)) with a room sound attenuation of 4 dB.

Integrated sound attenuation

The fitting's integrated attenuation ΔL (dB) includes end reflections, equivalent to the intake diameter, see table.

Initial adjustment

Initial adjustment of extraction

URH indregulering

The air stream is initially adjusted by positioning a measuring probe at the back of the diffuser as shown. The pressure difference (Δpm) between the measuring probe and the room is measured. Using the adjustment table and the measurement, the correct setting can be found that gives the desired airflow. The diffuser cone must then be locked once the correct setting has been found.

Airflow is calculated from the following: qv = k • √Δpm (l/s)

Installation

URH

When installing directly after a 90° angle or a T joint, the measurement ΔPm must be corrected according to the table below.

Model URH enkelt kanal URH bøjet kanal URH dobbelt kanal
URH100 Δpm = Δp ΔPm = ΔP
URH125 Δpm = Δp Δpm = 0.98 Δp
URH160 Δpm = Δp Δpm = 1.04 Δp
