Filters for VEX40T

New filter standard

The new filter standard contributes to filter efficiency and classification that is more in line with reality as well as the same standard across the world, creating less confusion.

How to determine filter class after 2018-Default Values

  • Test performed with 0.3-10 μm particles
  • Classification is based on results for particle sizes PM1, PM2.5 and PM10
  • The filter is discharged of static electricity during the test
  • Dust load with ISO “fine dust” to find pressure loss

The table below is an excerpt from the classification table. Here you can see:

  • which requirements in relation to starting efficiency and efficiency after discharge for each filter class
  • what type of filter the previous filters should/can be replaced with

Pre-filtering

The filter selection must take into account the current outdoor climate and the desired indoor climate.

According to ISO 16798, you must select the filter class according to the quality of the outdoor air (ODA) and the quality of the supply air (SUP):

Outside air qualitySUP1 (High) PM2.5 ≤ 2,5  PM10 ≤ 5

SUP2

(Medium) PM 2.5 ≤ 5
PM10 ≤ 10

SUP3
(Moderate) PM 2.5
7.5 PM10 ≤ 15

SUP4 (Low) PM2.5 ≤ 10  PM10 ≤  20SUP5 (Very low) PM 2.5 ≤ 15 PM10 ≤ 30
