Eurovent certification
The purpose of the Eurovent certificate is to make it easy and clear to choose the best product for the task.
Why an Eurovent certificate?
For you as a consultant or contractor:
- Eliminate unnecessary risks – the product keeps its promise
- Easy to find energy efficient products – clear data for each component
- Easy to find the best product for the job – large selection of consistent, comparable products.
For you as a client:
- Well-functioning systems – the product meets declared performance and energy consumption
- More precise calculations – energy consumption is as calculated
- Better products and more value for money – thanks to more fair and healthy competition.
For you as a manufacturer:
- Equal playing field – for more fair and healthy competition
- Transparency – increases trust in the industry
- A clear message – it pays to produce good products and provide clear data.

Eurovent certification is optional
Eurovent certification with associated energy classes is a voluntary scheme
Energy efficiency class
The following technical parameters are included in the energy class calculation:
- Design outdoor temperature
- Temperature efficiency at balanced airflows
- Pressure loss over heat recovery unit
- Air velocity through unit
- “Absorbed Power Factor” calculated from the power consumption of the motors (corresponds approximately to SFP)
