BIM files for efficient design
Digital building models are a natural part of modern construction projects. EXHAUSTO’s BIM solutions provide you with a solid basis for efficient project planning, where precise product data and 3D models support coordination, documentation and collaboration throughout the entire project process.
Use EXselectPRO for exporting BIM and CAD
Via EXselectPRO, you can easily configure and dimension your air handling unit and at the same time export BIM and CAD models adapted to your specific project. Depending on your preferred design tool, the models can be exported in several formats - including DXF for AutoCAD and more advanced BIM objects using MAH files, which can be used for Revit and MagiCAD for AutoCAD via a free plugin. The models are based on the specific unit configuration and also include selected accessories such as dampers and heating and cooling coils.
This gives you an accurate digital design basis, reduces the risk of errors and saves time - from the initial calculations to the finished BIM project.
Where to find the CAD models
The EXselectPRO calculation program can provide CAD models for all EXHAUSTO's modular and compact units. When a unit has been calculated in EXselectPRO, the model can be found in the export menu. The model version is specific to the calculated unit. If accessories such as dampers or duct-mounted heating and cooling coils have been selected, these are also included in the model.
The models can be imported in 3 ways:
AutoCAD 3D models in DXF format
MagiCAD plugin for AutoCAD
MagiCAD plugin for Revit
1. AutoCAD 3D models for DXF format
How do you do that?
You can download models in DXF format for AutoCAD (or other programs that support the DXF format) directly in EXselectPRO’s Export menu.

Output:
Here a “simple” 3D geometry is delivered.
2. MagiCAD plugin for AutoCAD
How do you do that?
If you use AutoCAD with MagiCAD (MagiCAD is required), you can download the latest version of the installation manual “EXselectPRO MagiCAD plugin for AutoCAD” and the plugin from the MagiCAD website. After installation, you can download an advanced 3D model that has access to EXselectPRO’s calculations.
