SPLIT unit for NEXTDOOR in Lyon

The biggest challenge was to deliver the ventilation unit in parts on the 9th floor and then assemble it on site, as it was not possible to hoist it in via the roof or in smaller sections.

NEXTDOOR on 9th floor
Founded in 2015, NEXTDOOR offers a new generation of workplaces. Since its first opening in Issy-Les-Moulineau, NEXTDOOR has opened an additional 7 office buildings (5 in Paris, 2 in Lyon).
The Lyon Part-Dieu building was inaugurated in September 2017, but the restaurant area was not yet planned.
At the end of July 2017, Sacha Melamedoff and Vincent Thorez met with the project managers Barbanel and the main contractor Korus . The purpose was to plan the installation of a ventilation unit with a capacity of 12,000 m3/h for the NEXTDOOR restaurant in the technical room on the 9th floor of the building.
Remedial action
The unit needed to be a VEX4080 SPLIT including mixing unit, and also needed to be supplemented with 4 zone heating coils in the duct. The challenge was that the unit had to be delivered separately (SPLIT version) and installed on site, as it was not possible to hoist it in via the roof or in smaller sections.
On delivery, the components were transported to the 8th floor by elevator and carried on to the 9th floor by hand.
Afterwards, installers from EXHAUSTO A/S, Peter Mogensen and Jesper Krus were able to assemble the units in the technical room and then carry out a final test.
VEX4000
Airflows 1,050 to 36,000 m3/h
- All sections are adapted to each other for each model size, so that the complete unit has the same width and height everywhere.
- The units are available in LEFT and RIGHT versions.
- Modules are delivered separately, which will be an advantage if the modules are to be transported through doors.
- All VEX4000 units can be supplied with integrated control system for advanced control of airflows, heating, cooling and humidification.
- VEX4000 is calculated and configured in the Eurovent and RLT-certified calculation program EXselectPRO.
