Corridors as a distribution zone
In renovation work, it is often a challenge to introduce ducts in the flat. It is important that supply air is led to all habitable rooms.
Supply air inlets in EBV04 units can be configured in many ways, and it is important to find the right solution in each case - in respect of appearance, location and function.
The following shows a number of different solutions which use the corridor areas as a distribution zone.
1. Perimeter system

2. Ceiling outlet in suspended ceiling. Also allows for sound damping between flats.

3. Outlet behind radiator on back wall. Opportunity for individual temperature control.

Modern low-energy windows insulate so well that drops in temperature do not normally occur. The radiator no longer needs to be placed under the window, as was previously advised. Freedom in radiator positioning allows savings to be made in renovation and new-build work. It gives a saving on the heating plant, which no longer needs so large an output (size and number of radiators and pipes). One of those savings you often overlook.
