Central ventilation

Central ventilation means that one large ventilation unit ventilates several rooms.

The unit may ventilate the whole office building, but more usually ventilation will be divided up, either for space reasons,fire reasons or according to type of room.

Ventilation will typically be divided up as follows:

- Offices and meeting rooms separately; typically a rotary heat exchanger will be used
- Copy rooms and canteens/kitchens, WC's separately (to avoid odour transfer).
