Here we provide answers to the questions we most often receive about the VEX1000 series
:format(webp))
The VEX1000 is available in three models, VEX1000RS (with rotary heat exchanger and connections on the side), VEX1000RT (with rotary heat exchanger and connections on the top of the unit), and VEX1000CS (with counterflow heat exchanger and connections on the side).
VEX1000RS is available in 11 sizes - air volume up to 9,340 m3/h
VEX1000RT is available in 7 sizes - air volume up to 7,460 m3/h
VEX1000CS is available in 9 sizes - air volume up to 7,375 m3/h
To find the optimal model for your project, we recommend calculating the project in EXselectPRO
The material Magnelis is a zinc-aluminum-magnesium coated steel that provides substantially improved corrosion protection compared to traditional galvanized steel.
The advantages are:
corrosion class C5, more corrosion resistant than galvanized steel and Aluzinc
consists of 25% recycled steel
self-healing, protects the laser-cut edges
produced in Europe
lower CO2-footprint
Most of our VEX units can be delivered in a SPLIT version, so that they can be transported into smaller parts.
For VEX1000 - for all series you can choose between panel filters and bag filters. Panel filters can also be combined with a pre-filter. Read more about filter types under mechanical accessories here or under individual VEX series.
You can find the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for VEX1000 on the individual product pages for VEX1000RS, VEX1000RT and VEX1000CS - type EPD in the search field.
The EPD document is also part of the documents that can be downloaded via My Products - via the production order number of the VEX.
The capacity of ventilation units must be calculated in EXselectPRO.
With an Eurovent-certified ventilation unit, you get a guarantee of the unit's performance, as the unit has been tested in accordance with a number of requirements and parameters. This makes it much easier to compare units, as it is easy to see whether two similar products are being compared.

You can choose between three solutions regarding control system
Integrated EXcon+ control system
Controller ready
Without control system
When the unit is delivered, all sensors inside the unit are connected to the automatic control panel. Additionally, the automation is configured in relation to various ventilation components, e.g., duct-mounted pressure sensor.
Moreover, there are a number of inputs and outputs for, among other things, BMS systems. In short, this means that the unit needs to be connected to power, and then it is able to operate in the most energy-efficient way.
Read more about our different control systems for units here.
During winter operation - depending on the outdoor temperature, extract air temperature, humidity, and air volumes - there may be a risk of ice build-up in the counterflow heat exchanger. The EXcon+ control monitors this and initiates defrosting via bypass when necessary.
With VEX1000R and VEX4000ER, the transfer of odors and particles is no longer a challenge, as ALCTM (patented, automatic leakage control) regulates and prevents it by ensuring that there is always lower pressure in the exhaust chamber than in the supply air.
