Here you can control the ventilation depending on when the individual rooms are used, but not how much they are loaded during the time they are in use.

The clock and weekly schedule control the on/off of the basic ventilation.

Switch or motion sensor increases the ventilation in the individual rooms.

A regulator maintains constant pressure in the duct system so that the airflow is distributed correctly.

VAV – variable airflow

We recommend VAV when:

  • Rooms are used periodically
  • There is a low fluctuation in the person load
  • There is a low fluctuation in the heat load

Examples of this are:

North-facing classrooms, offices

The solution - pros and cons

Benefits

  • Ventilation of the rooms used only

Cons

  • Same airflow in the room regardless of the number of people
  • Updating weekly schedule when changing usage pattern
  • Same airflow in all rooms, regardless of load
